I'm gonna tell, I'm gonna tell....on you.

Last night as we were preparing for bedtime Ch decided he was going to continue in whatever mischief he was involved in rather than get ready for bed. I first should say that we do "spank" or rather discipline our children, as intstructed in the the Bible. Well Ch was well deserving of this in the midst of his tantrum which included screaming at the top of his voice followed with "No, I don't want to", well Daddy does not take well to being told "NO" by a 2 year old! He swiftly received a swat on the behind. Here is where it gets good, Ch then proceeded to tell Mommy "Momma, Momma, (place some unintelligable words here) Daddy...hit me". "Oh my" I stated, and what should I do about that?". What was he expecting? For Mommy to get up and discipline Daddy? I don't think so...not in this house!

Mt. Laundry like Mt. Everest???

To me it is a good comparison! How does this happen? I do laundry everyday at least one load, and like and avalanche...I am now waist deep (literally) in stuff that needs to be washed. Now I know that having to wash ALL my bedding 2 days in a row does not help (Ch has been having reflux problems), but still it should not be this bad! I have thinned clothing time and time again but it seems there is still too much. And it is ALL over the house. I was just telling James that even IF (note the big IF) I had ALL the laundry done, it could not be put away because there is simply not enough room.

This week has been long and I am looking forward to Friday, sort of. Friday will begin with a makeup session of swimming lessons due to the rain that cam on Wednesday. Followed by a Dr. appt for Ch to find out why his Prevacid is not doing its job. I also promised the kids that they could use the new sprinkler and my cupboards are bare...shopping is long overdue. Perhaps Saturday will be better with mowing the lawn, weeding the garden and hoping the finances will allow for some mulch for the yard.

~thankful to God that I have a home and family to care for~

So much is goin's on

Today we are doing a deep clean of the kids bedrooms...long overdue! J's room is amazingly dirty despite $60 worth of "perfect" baskets for his clothes in the closet. I told him this morning that I can't make it any easier so he better get the hang of it!

One basket for shirts
One basket for pants/shorts
One basket for socks and underwear!
I think he can handle it, if not I will have a nervous breakdown...

The girls S and C got a new dresser to put all of their stuff in...so far it is working.

When I think about all that has to be done or is waiting to be done my brain freezes and nothing gets done. Why is that? We are making progress but it is slow, finances play a part in it I think. We are waiting to purchase a new bedroom floor, once that is done we can play musical bedrooms. We will move back downstairs and the boys will get our current room and the girls will get the boys room and the girls room will once again be a sewing/spare bedroom.

Today for education the littles E,Ch, and C will be doing numbers and playing with modeling clay. S and J will be working on language arts and math....not their favorite subjects

Let's see if this blog can do better!

I had been blogging at homeschoolblogger.com but had kind of lost contact with those folks and want to expand on what I was writing about. Here I hope to cover a multitude of subjects including semi-daily updates on what we are doing with our "schoolwork". This way family and friends "see" what we do everyday!
